Location Pages for Builders: How to Rank Without Spam

A practical template for town/area pages that actually convert — and won’t get you ignored.

Location pages work when they’re real.

They fail when they’re thin, copy/paste, and clearly written for Google instead of humans.

When should you create location pages?

Create a location page if:

  • you genuinely work in that town/area
  • you can show 1–2 examples or photos from nearby
  • you can answer local questions (parking, access, typical house types)

A location page template that works

Use this structure:

  1. Headline: Kitchen extensions in [Town] (or your service)
  2. Intro: 3–5 lines on who you help and what you build
  3. Services in this area: bullet list linking to service pages
  4. Recent work nearby: photos + 2–3 lines each
  5. Pricing/next steps: set expectations (site visit, quote)
  6. FAQs: answer questions people ask in that town
  7. Call to action: phone/WhatsApp + form

FAQs you can add immediately

  • Do you cover [Neighbourhood]?
  • How long does a typical project take?
  • Do you handle planning/building regs?
  • Can you show recent work in [Town]?

Don’t do this

  • 200 pages with the same text
  • fake addresses
  • keyword stuffing like “builder builder builder”

If you want, I can turn this template into a repeatable page generator later.
